What is Community Acupuncture?

Community Clinic at The Ivey Garden of Wellness offers a gentle, shared‑space acupuncture option — a simpler, accessible way to receive care without the cost or time commitment of a full private session. Treatments focus on ear, hand, foot, or easily accessible distal points, requiring minimal disrobing. This format makes acupuncture easier, quicker, and more approachable — especially for regular, maintenance, or energetic care.

How It Works

  • Treatments are given in a calm, group-style setting.

  • Needles are placed at distal or auricular points — no full-body disrobing required.

  • Sessions typically last about 30–40 minutes, during which you rest quietly while receiving care.

  • You are welcome to relax, read quietly, or simply rest during your session.

Sliding-Scale / Trust Based Pricing

Because healing should be available to everyone, the community clinic operates on a sliding‑scale / trust-based fee model. You decide what you can pay — there’s no income verification, no questions asked. Pay what feels right for you in that moment on a sliding scale of $15-$40.

This makes acupuncture accessible to people with a variety of financial situations, supporting regular care and community healing.

We also offer one free clinic session per month for those who might not be able to afford the sliding fee scale.  Please see upcoming free dates here

Why Choose Community Clinic

Community-style acupuncture is ideal if you’re:

  • Interested in maintenance care, ongoing energetic support, or gentle nervous-system regulation

  • Looking for an affordable way to access acupuncture regularly

  • New to acupuncture and want a gentle, less-intimidating introduction

  • Seeking a community-setting, inclusive, non-judgmental healing space

What to Expect

When you arrive:

  • Wear comfortable clothing (easy access to arms, legs, or ears helps — e.g. shorts or loose pants)

  • You’ll be greeted, asked a few quick questions about comfort, and will be asked to complete a consent to treatment form if this is your first time, consent is verbally obtained for subsequent visits

  • Needles are placed, and you rest quietly for about 30–40 minutes

  • Afterward, I will remove needles and you are welcome to stretch, sip water, or rest before leaving

Safety & Respect: Only single-use, sterile needles are used, and the treatment space is kept clean. The session is trauma-aware, paced to your comfort, and always consensual

How to book & What to know

  •  Click the link below to reserve a spot — spaces are limited and often fill quickly.

  • Sliding-scale means you choose what you pay when you arrive — the amount is up to you between $15-$40, based on your means that day.

  • If you can, aim to come regularly for best results (weekly, biweekly, or monthly) — consistent care supports deeper healing and balance

Can I get the Community Clinic playlist?
